Terms of Service

Last updated 15 September 2026

These terms govern your use of The Rights Foundry: the website at therightsfoundry.com, the REST API, the MCP connector for AI assistants, and the audio we stream. The Rights Foundry is operated by Audiosocket. By creating an account or calling the API you agree to these terms. Music you license is governed by the license agreement issued with that purchase, which sits alongside these terms.

Our content and yours

The catalog, the metadata, the tag vocabulary and the site remain ours or our licensors’. Nothing here transfers ownership of any recording or composition; you receive a license, described on the licensing page, and nothing more. Anything you send us stays yours, and you grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you.

Availability

We work to keep the service up and correct, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service; where a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will tell you and make it right. Licenses you already hold are unaffected by changes to the service.

Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, abuses the service, or exposes us or our artists to legal risk. Where the breach is fixable we will say what is wrong and give you a chance to fix it first. If we close your account without cause, we will refund unused credits.

Warranties and liability

We warrant that we have the rights to license the music we sell you, and we stand behind the licenses we issue. Beyond that, the service is provided as is, without other warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, and the courts of King County, Washington have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have where you live.
